About the challenge

One day. 500 hackers. Over £70,000 in prizes.

GreatUniHack is back for its biggest year yet. Since 2015, UniCS has packed students from across the UK and beyond into one building in Manchester to turn an idea into a working demo before the day runs out. This year we've grown to 500 hackers, with 25+ sponsors and partners led by our title sponsor NatWest.

You don't need experience, or even a team yet. Come curious, find your people, and build something you'd be proud to show off. Food, drinks, mentors and workshops are on us all day.

Requirements

What to Build

Anything you like, as long as it's built during GreatUniHack. Teams are 2 to 5 people.

When you submit, choose your tracks:

Overall winners: opt in to compete for the top three.
Sponsor challenges: pick one at most.
Sub-challenges: enter as many as you like

What to Submit

One submission per team, before the deadline:

Project name and a short write-up: what it does, how you built it, and what's next.
A GitHub repository link, with your whole team added to it.
Every team member added to the Devpost submission.
The tracks you're entering
A short demo video (2 minutes max), as a YouTube link.
